Introduction
Discouragement is the bane of everyone's existence. It sucks the life out of you, makes you feel worthless, and makes you feel like you have no value to the world. But even though discouragement feels like it can ruin your life in many ways, there is hope! With a little help from personal development principles and literally things that have worked in my personal life, here's a list that will help you get rid of discouragement and start living your life to the fullest:
Discouraged people have a hard time seeing their way out of their present circumstances.
Discouragement is a feeling of hopelessness. It’s when you feel like there is no point in trying to do anything because everything you do will be useless anyway. Discouragement can make you feel like you are alone, and that nobody cares about you or your goals. When we are discouraged, it’s easy for us to lose sight of our goals and forget how important they are to us—and how hard we have worked for them! Discouragement may cause us to give up on our dreams completely, leading us down the path towards depression and despair.
Discouraged people lose their self-esteem
Discouragement leads to a loss of self-esteem. The more you listen to the messages of discouragement and doubt, the less confident you become in your abilities and worth. You begin to believe that “the grass is always greener on the other side” or that “no one does it like we do” because of all the negative messages about yourself that have been instilled over time.
You may also start making poor decisions because your confidence is low. For example, if you are feeling discouraged about your career path and lack confidence in yourself as a professional, then this can lead to making bad decisions such as taking jobs just for money or trying to please others instead of focusing on what's best for yourself and family.

Talk to a friend or family member
Get out of the house and take some fresh air
Make a change in your daily routine - schedule activities that get you out of bed each day (even if they’re small)
Take a nap if possible; sleep deprivation can make anyone feel discouraged!

Lastly yet most importantly, make a plan about the life you really want to be living. So many times we are discouraged because we simply aren't going for the life we really want. We push that dream life to the side because we have been made to believe that "a person like me", does not get to have that life. The truth is the people that live their dream life made a plan and worked hard towards it. It wasn't just luck or proximity.
